Should I be asking for more money?

I have a BA (hons) degree along with a diploma in childcare and education, I have been working with children since I left school in 2002. I am currently a Pre-School Co-ordinator as well as the settings SENCO, I work 40 hour weeks working for just above the minimum wage. Is it worth asking for a payrise or am i pushing my luck??
