Going for a tourist visit to Singapore for the weekend only.?

I am planning to visit Singapore for 3 days. Is it true that Manila International Airport immigration officers will ask how much money I am carrying, is it required I show them the cash itself of I can just show/ tell them am carrying plastic cards ?
