Resolved Question
Have I doomed myself freshman year?
I am currently a freshman in high school. I am taking Double Science (Honors Physical Science and Honors Biology), World Literature I Honors, Geometry Honors, Regular World History East, and Chinese 2 Honors. My grades are B+, A, A-, B, A, and A for the first semester.
These grades basically determine my courses for next year. Getting a B in Geometry has given me no choice but to take regular science classes next year. I am still taking 2 sciences (Chemistry and Physics) but they will not be honors classes. I am also taking Humanities Honors, World West Humanities Honors, Chinese 3 Honors, and regular Algebra 2.
I was just wondering if taking 2 REGULAR science courses instead of maybe 1 or 2 honor sciences will make a college feel like I am "slacking-off" sophomore year.
I will try to appeal and hopefully get myself in a honors science but if that does not happen will that B in math have a real significance to my chances of getting into a good college?
I realize that I am probably overreacting but this means a lot to me. I am not a really smart person and I just hope that I can get into the college that I want.
THANK YOU... IN ADVANCE!
I guess I am not a "dumb" person but I am not THAT smart. I have maybe average grades. From the 5 honor classes freshman to just 3 honors classes sophomore. I just know how the college might think of that.
