Do I need to give my cat shots again?

Ok so on spring 2010 I found my black short hair american cat and my family and I decided to keep him later on. We gave my cat shots on November 2010. We were suppose to go a month later to give him the booster shot but we never did. Do I need to re-take the original shots or is it not too late to give him the booster shot he needs since it's been over a year since we gave him his shots.

Also, he likes to go outside very often. I mean like every day of the week, if not almost every day. He also gets into a fight with my neighbors cat at least once a month, mainly because he is not neutered. He also gets fleas sometimes and once he had a tick (but i don't know if that affects anything).
