How do I prevent the cat litter from...?

The cat litter box is resting on carpet. Every time my cat comes out after doing her business she tracks cat litter out. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Is it the litter? (tidy cats, very small beads)
Is it her feet?
Should I put something right when she gets out so that some of it gets on that and not on the carpet?

It gets on the carpet all over the room too and last time I vacuumed it didn't even get all of it, so do you think that is the vacuum or is it just how the beads get stuck in the carpet...?
