Resolved Question

Is it safe to get a fixed bridge after moving many teeth with orthodontics?

My dentist wants me to get a fixed bridge...it's about the only option I have left. Implants can't be done simply because the roots of my teeth that were moved are basically bent in an odd direction and are in the way of the open/empty area where congenitally missing upper lateral incisors should be. This would mean filing down the cuspid behind the incisor (on either side) and also both front central incisors on top. I'm fine with the others, but having trouble getting myself to "approve" filing down these central incisors on the front that we just spent a year and a half moving (they had a large gap between them, they were too far back in the gum so they were pushed forward to the front of the gum and also pulled out of the gum to make them longer). A lot of my other teeth were also pulled out to make them longer and/or moved in other directions considerably.

If I get a fixed bridge, is it going to break under the pressure of all of my teeth trying to constantly go back to where they were? Am I going to feel pain because of them trying to go back and encountering the resistance of the bridge?

What happens when I need to get a new bridge down the road? I'm still quite young and would need to change it quite a few times over the remainder of my lifetime. Do they file more of the tooth peg down each time they put a new one on? I have trouble believing that they just "put another one over it" as-is, because that doesn't seem like it would be strong after a period of 15 years of having one on it previously.
I have also looked into Cantelever bridges and Maryland bridges, but they don't seem to last very long or be anywhere near as sturdy...as an alternative to having to file down the front central incisors.
