Looking to buy a house to rent out?

Hi there

I am thinking of buying a 2 bedroom house near me and I already live in my own house that is already mortgaged. Will the bank entertain me or just laugh at me if I went down to talk to them about buying another mortgaged house (even though that tennents would be paying the mortgage for it)??
Oh I understand other countries may differ when it come to renting houses out, so I live in Scotland
