2 year old communication skills?

So my daughter just turned 2 in January. I think she is pretty smart for her age. She can count to 15 knows her name age some colors and can recognize some letters. She sings song with me like twinkle little star and others. But when I ask her questions she can't alwlays answer. For example she spills her juice. I say uh ho what happened to your juice she doesn't answer. Or if she sees grandma and later on I ask who did u see today she doesn't answer. Or what do u want for breakfast she doesn't answer.but if I ask is she hungry she will say yes or no. Or use the potty she can answer that to with yes or no. Is this normal for a 2 year old. She speaks a lot of work and understands a lot too. But she does still speak in gibberish sometimes and I can't understand her.
