How can i become a elementary school teacher?

I am currently in college, but i plan on transferring into university, so i can earn a bachelors degree of psychology, but i've been told that a degree is a stepping stone to become a teacher. Also what other education must i obtain in order to teach in ontario? Please give details, step by step.
