Undecided Question

Why does my hamster always have crusty stuff around his eyes?

I have a male hamster, Pablo, that is around two years old and he always seems to have his eyes stuck shut by this crusty stuff. It doesn't seem to bother him too much. When he has that I usually just take a wet cloth and wipe it away but it keeps coming back. Other than that he seems completely healthy.
My other hamster, Cole, has never got it before.

What is it?

Well sometimes it can be from sleeping too much. I have had mice and rats before and that has happened. It said in the book to just take a wet, luke warm paper towel or tissue and gently wipe it off. And if you have any further questions, you should get a book about hamsters from your local pet store.

It could be from either an eye infection, a cold, or a sinus infection. Please consult with a vet. In the meantime, continue wiping it off.
