My 16-year old daughter has a 22-year old boyfriend, and the police wont do anything, I live in texas help?

I told her i dont want her to see him, that he is too old for her, and she wouldn't listen.

I called the Texas police, and tried to file a statutory rape charge against him, so he would go away and they took my daughter to the hospital and did a examination against her, and i thought i would have had it ended. After the test came back negative, they said they aren't going to get involved.

I went to his apartment, and i was going to tell him to stay away or us, and he came out, and started punching me and kicking me every where, he beat me within an inch of my life. I was in the hospital for 3 days. He said i tried to put him in prison for 20 years, and i tried to frame him. He said he was beating me for trying to put him on the sex registry for a crime he didn't commit.

One of his neighbors called the police, and he was arrested, and i left in an ambulance.

He told the police, I assaulted him first, which wasnt true, he hit me first, i didnt get a punch in.
He is claiming self defense which was a complete lie. The cops told me that they caught me in a lie, by telling them i wanted to press stat rape charge against him, when there was no proof, but i wanted him to go away, The police said, Since you were lying about that, How do we know your arent lying with this?

They said if i kept pursuing the charges against him, they would bring charges against m e for filing a false police report. Help?

They dropped the charges against him for assult. My daughter broke up with him for a week after he beat me up, and now she went back with him, and she is mad at me for trying to throw him in jail and trying to break them up.

What can I do?
